Seeking an enthusiastic, skilled barista to prepare quality beverages and provide excellent customer service.
The role is in a fast-paced café and calls for high standards of service, cleanliness, and product quality.
Responsibilities
- Prepare coffee, espresso-based drinks, tea, specialty beverages, and other hot and cold drinks to recipes and presentation standards.
- Welcome guests, take orders, provide attentive service, explain the menu, and recommend beverages.
- Safely operate coffee machines, grinders, and other beverage equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, well-stocked coffee station and follow food-safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures.
- Monitor supplies, report replenishment needs, and handle customer feedback courteously.
- Coordinate with team members, follow company procedures, and assist with preparation, cleaning, opening, or closing duties as required.
Requirements and qualifications
- Knowledge of coffee preparation, espresso extraction, and milk steaming techniques.
- Ability to prepare varied beverages consistently and efficiently.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, customer-service, teamwork, reliability, and time-management skills.
- Good personal presentation, attention to detail, and ability to multitask calmly during busy periods.
- Good command of English; additional languages are an advantage.
- Previous barista or similar hospitality experience is an advantage.
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
