The Barback supports bartenders and servers and helps maintain service, cleanliness and organization in a fast-paced, high-volume bar in Dubai, UAE.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional, friendly support to bartenders and servers.
- Stock, organize and maintain bar supplies, equipment and inventory.
- Set up bar stations before service.
- Assist guests with beverage, menu and promotion inquiries; maintain knowledge of beverage lists and cocktail preparations.
- Follow proper handling, storage and rotation practices for beverages and supplies.
- Keep bar areas clean and organized throughout service.
- Monitor inventory and report stock needs or discrepancies.
- Handle cash and payments accurately and securely.
- Work with the bar team during peak service and follow outlet standards and procedures.
Qualifications
- Previous barback or hospitality experience is highly valued.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver friendly, professional service and work in a fast-paced, high-volume bar.
- Knowledge of beverages, cocktails and bar operations.
- Teamwork, organization, time management, communication and multitasking abilities.
- Able to stand and walk for extended periods and regularly lift and carry items weighing over 30 pounds.
- Flexible to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Proficient in cash handling and basic point-of-sale systems; knowledgeable about food and beverage health, safety and sanitation.
- Proactive problem solver, willing to learn new procedures and systems, and committed to professional grooming standards.
