Prepare, bake and present bakery products, pastries, cakes and desserts for a café.
The role requires baking skills, creativity, consistency and high standards of product quality, food safety and presentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare breads, croissants, Danish pastries, muffins, cookies, cakes and other baked goods, along with doughs, batters, creams, fillings, frostings and decorations.
- Produce fresh menu items daily; follow standardized recipes, measurements, baking temperatures and schedules.
- Maintain consistent taste, texture, freshness, portion size and presentation; develop new items and seasonal specialties with the Head Chef or management.
- Label and store ingredients, monitor shelf life, rotate stock using FIFO, track usage, minimize waste and report purchasing needs.
- Operate and maintain ovens, mixers, proofers and other bakery equipment safely.
- Maintain personal hygiene, kitchen cleanliness and HACCP food-safety practices; prepare and display products attractively.
- Coordinate with kitchen and service teams to meet daily production requirements.
Qualifications and Experience
- At least 2–4 years of experience in a bakery, café, hotel or restaurant.
- Strong knowledge of bread making, viennoiserie, pastries, cakes and desserts; experience with dough preparation, fermentation, proofing, baking and finishing.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and proper ingredient storage.
- Ability to manage daily production independently and meet deadlines.
- Creativity, attention to detail and good time-management skills.
- Professional training or certification in bakery and pastry arts is preferred.

- Pay is listed as QAR 1–2 per month.
