ANALOG is seeking a backend engineer to build and operate production services across cloud and edge environments.
The role involves services that transfer data reliably across network protocols and continue working when connectivity is unreliable.
The team works directly with engineers developing physical and product systems.
What you will do
- Design and build backend services that move data between cloud systems and edge or device environments across multiple network protocols.
- Containerize and deploy services that operate consistently in cloud and edge environments.
- Collaborate with engineers building physical and product systems to determine backend needs.
- Investigate and resolve production issues involving latency, dropped connections, and data consistency across unreliable links.
- Improve and harden existing live systems.
Skills and experience
- 3–5 years of experience building and operating large-scale production backend services.
- Strong hands-on experience with at least two of Java, Python, or Kotlin; other languages are welcome.
- Experience with cloud services, edge computing, and moving data across multiple network protocols.
- Experience with containerized development; cloud-to-edge deployment patterns are highly preferred.
- Comfort with agile working practices and continuous integration.
