Sales Job Overview

A *Sales* role at Salonist focuses on growing the company’s customer base and revenue by connecting prospective customers (salon owners or managers) with the right software solutions.

Main Objective

Sell Salonist subscriptions to salons and beauty businesses — from small independent salons to larger multi-location chains — and help them choose the plan that fits their business goals.

Key Responsibilities

Here’s what someone in Sales typically does:

Lead Generation & Outreach

  • Identify potential customers (salons/spas looking for software solutions)
  • Use cold calls, emails, demos, social outreach, or inbound leads to connect with prospects
  • Qualify leads to understand their goals and needs

Product Demos & Consultations

  • Demonstrate the Salonist software features (appointment booking, CRM, POS, online booking, reminders, reports, marketing automation, etc.)
  • Tailor demonstrations to show how Salonist solves specific business issues (e.g., reduce no-shows, improve bookings, automate marketing)

Customer Engagement

  • Answer questions, explain pricing and plans, and address objections
  • Build trust and rapport with salon owners and decision-makers

Closing Sales

  • Turn prospects into paying customers
  • Process subscription agreements and ensure a smooth transition to implementation

Target Achievement

  • Hit monthly or quarterly sales targets set by leadership
  • Track performance metrics like number of demos, sales conversions, new subscriptions, and revenue generated

Collaboration

  • Work closely with marketing to align campaigns with sales goals
  • Stay in sync with customer success teams to ensure smooth onboarding and ongoing support
