AutoCAD Draftsman

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed 2D technical and shop drawings using AutoCAD for glass partitions, glass doors, aluminium works, glazing systems, and interior fit-out works.
• Review architectural drawings, project specifications, BOQs, and site requirements; prepare plans, elevations, sections, and detailed drawings.
• Coordinate drawings with project managers, engineers, site teams, and other departments; incorporate site measurements and project revisions.
• Ensure drawing accuracy and compliance with project requirements; revise drawings in response to consultant, client, or project team comments.
• Coordinate with estimation and procurement teams regarding drawings and material requirements.
• Maintain drawing, revision, and project documentation records and assist with technical drawing needs throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD is mandatory; experience in glass and aluminium works is required.
• Experience in interior fit-out projects is preferred.
• Ability to read and understand architectural and engineering drawings; knowledge of glass partitions, glass doors, aluminium profiles, and glazing systems.
• Good understanding of measurements, dimensions, materials, and construction details; strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication skills are mandatory; ability to coordinate with engineers, project managers, suppliers, and site teams.
• Good knowledge of MS Office and ability to work under deadlines while managing multiple drawings or projects.

Compensation and benefits

• Salary is AED 3,000–4,000 per month, depending on experience and qualifications.
