Housekeeping and Laundry role at The St. Regis Residence, Marsa Arabia Island, Doha, Qatar.
Full-time schedule; the position is not remote and is non-management.
Laundry duties
- Operate and monitor washing, dry-cleaning, and drying machinery; add chemicals and clean lint traps.
- Identify stained or damaged items and determine whether to repair, spot-treat, rewash, or discard them.
- Inspect cleaned items and place them in clean-linen carts; set dryer times and temperatures for the fabrics in each load.
- Clean dryer screens, dry-cleaning filters, and drain traps after each load.
- Fold clean articles by hand or machine to designated sizes and maintain accurate laundry records.
Work practices and physical duties
- Follow safety, security, and company policies; report accidents, injuries, hazards, or unsafe conditions and complete safety training and certifications.
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance, protect confidential information and company assets, and support positive working relationships and team goals.
- Meet quality standards, inspect equipment for defects, and recommend or implement improvements to efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, or cost savings.
- Work extended periods standing, sitting, or walking; handle items up to 25 pounds without assistance and move through confined, elevated, uneven, or slippery areas and stairs or ramps.
- Reach overhead and below the knees, bend, twist, pull, and stoop; perform other reasonable duties requested by supervisors.
Qualifications
- No high school diploma or GED equivalent, related work experience, supervisory experience, or license or certification is required.
