Role overview

Assists with soliciting and managing reservation sales opportunities, managing reservations staff, and achieving revenue goals.

Drives customer loyalty through service excellence and grows customer account share.

Education and experience

  • Requires a high school diploma or GED and 3 years of relevant experience, or a related two-year degree and 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Relevant experience may be in sales and marketing, guest services, front desk, or a related professional area.

Revenue and reservations sales

  • Identify new reservation sales business and close opportunities based on market conditions and property needs.
  • Understand competitors, economic trends, supply and demand, target customers, and service expectations.
  • Monitor same-day selling to maximize room revenue and control property occupancy.
  • Respond to sales opportunities; negotiate contracts and coordinate proposals, contracts, and customer correspondence.
  • Monitor reservation order accuracy, track no-shows and process charges, and manage waitlists.
  • Prepare work and maintenance orders; create contracts as required.

Staff and customer service

  • Provide training and work assignments to reservations sales staff.
  • Deliver brand-standard customer service, address guest needs and complaints, and build customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Use sales and administrative resources effectively.
