Security duties
- Patrol the property, assist guests with room access, and monitor CCTV, alarms, and fire-life-safety systems.
- Inspect for physical hazards, secure entrances when required, and resolve safety hazards.
- Respond to accidents, emergencies, disturbances, thefts, and other incidents; request outside assistance when needed.
- Conduct investigations, gather evidence, interview relevant parties, and prepare incident and shift reports.
- Protect confidential reports and property assets, and share information only with authorized individuals.
Guest service and conduct
- Assist guests and employees during emergencies and address guest interruptions and complaints.
- Follow company policies, report accidents and unsafe conditions, complete safety training, and maintain professional appearance.
- Communicate clearly, support team goals, meet quality standards, and perform other reasonable duties requested by supervisors.
Qualifications and physical requirements
- A high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is preferred; no related work or supervisory experience is required.
- No license or certification is listed, although some jurisdictions may have additional licensing or registration requirements.
- The role requires extended periods of standing, sitting, or walking and the ability to respond quickly to work situations.
- Physical duties include lifting and carrying, navigating confined or uneven areas and stairs, and reading information or inspecting equipment.
- The role uses computers and/or point-of-sale systems.
