Responsible for mechanical engineering and site execution activities for Solar PV projects.
Ensure installation meets approved drawings, technical specifications, quality requirements, HSE standards, and project schedules.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise installation of PV module mounting structures, trackers or fixed-tilt systems, and solar modules.
- Review mechanical drawings, layouts, specifications, method statements, and technical documents; monitor pile installation, structural erection, tracker alignment, and module installation.
- Coordinate with civil, electrical, engineering, QA/QC, HSE, and commissioning teams.
- Ensure compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, and applicable standards; conduct site inspections and help resolve technical and installation issues.
- Coordinate subcontractors and vendors, monitor materials, and support achievement of construction milestones.
- Prepare or review ITPs, method statements, inspection requests, punch lists, and as-built documents; support closure of NCRs and punch points.
- Provide progress updates and raise construction constraints with project management.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Preferably 5–10 years of experience, with relevant utility-scale Solar PV or renewable energy EPC experience.
- Hands-on tracker and module installation and mechanical site execution experience is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Good knowledge of QA/QC and HSE requirements; strong coordination, problem-solving, and site management skills.
- GCC or UAE Solar PV project experience is preferred.
