Assistant Construction Manager role focused on on-site installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and ELV systems.
The role connects engineering designs with physical execution and manages subcontractors, materials, field coordination, safety, schedule, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise installation of HVAC ductwork, chiller systems, VRF units, AHUs, fire sprinkler systems, and ventilation.
- Oversee electrical containment, cable pulling, DB terminations, lighting layouts, CCTV, access control, and fire alarm systems.
- Coordinate daily activities of MEP subcontractors and trade labor to maintain continuous progress.
- Conduct site inspections against quality benchmarks, approved shop drawings, and local authority regulations.
- Manage specialized subcontractors, verify materials against specifications, and troubleshoot field clashes.
- Ensure MEP systems are delivered safely, on schedule, and in compliance with building codes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or electrical engineering.
- 8–12 years of on-site construction experience.
- Proven experience handling integrated MEP scopes on residential, commercial, or industrial projects.
