Responsibilities
- Inspect architectural and finishing work and report on compliance with regulations, standards, and the Dar QA Program.
- Plan inspections with the Project Manager or Resident Engineer and issue checklists, reports, and recommendations for records and performance review.
- Ensure contractors and subcontractors follow safe working practices, permit-to-work requirements, and Dar standard operating procedures.
- Inspect on-site and off-site materials and arrange field or laboratory tests to verify compliance and suitability.
- Coordinate with the Resident Engineer on quality systems and site supervision.
- Attend site coordination meetings on contractor submissions, drawings, materials, and construction matters; verify required approvals and permits are available.
- Identify quality deficiencies and raise non-conformance notices, reports, and site inspection notices with the Resident Engineer.
- Review contractor method statements and comment on execution of the works.
- Approve operations and maintenance manuals, monitor the approved work programme, and perform final inspections for completion certification and handover.
Requirements
- Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related field from an accredited institution.
- At least 7 years of experience in architectural inspection or a similar construction-industry role.
- Experience with high-rise buildings or commercial projects is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of architectural drawings, specifications, and standards.
- Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and safety practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
