Arada | Senior Project Manager (Sharjah) Development

Role purpose

Project and design delivery

• Plan, execute, monitor, and deliver assigned projects across design, approvals, procurement, construction, testing and commissioning, handover, and defects liability.
• Maintain execution plans, schedules, budgets, and risk registers; monitor milestones and take corrective action.
• Coordinate design reviews and consultant deliverables for quality, regulatory compliance, cost targets, project briefs, and construction feasibility.
• Drive value engineering while preserving design intent and customer experience.

Construction and commercial management

• Oversee contractors, consultants, and project management consultants; monitor progress, quality, HSE, and specification compliance.
• Conduct site inspections and progress meetings, resolve issues, and ensure practical completion and handover.
• Monitor budgets and cost performance; review variations, claims, payment applications, and commercial risks; support contract administration.

Stakeholders, risk, and improvement

• Coordinate internal functions, authorities, utility providers, consultants, contractors, and external partners; obtain permits and approvals.
• Identify risks and mitigation strategies, ensure governance and quality compliance, and report project updates to senior management.
• Promote lessons learned, best practices, innovation, sustainability, and efficient project delivery; mentor junior colleagues as needed.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10–15 years of experience in real estate development or project management.
• At least 5 years managing large-scale mixed-use, residential, hospitality, retail, or commercial developments in the UAE.
• Experience with a master developer or leading real estate developer is highly preferred.

Technical expertise

• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and construction practices; experience managing consultants, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent understanding of FIDIC contracts and contract administration.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Excel, and project reporting tools.
• Strong commercial awareness, financial management capabilities, and familiarity with UAE authority approvals and local regulations.

Preferred qualifications

• A Master’s degree or professional certifications such as PMP, RICS, CIOB, or PRINCE2 would be an advantage.
