Role overview

AI Engineer focused on construction projects and site operations.

Develop and implement AI solutions to improve project monitoring, site productivity, safety, quality, and planning.

Work with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Planning Engineers, QA/QC, HSE, and BIM teams on construction-site challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Develop AI and machine-learning solutions for construction projects and site operations.
  • Build computer-vision solutions for site progress, safety, PPE compliance, and quality monitoring.
  • Analyze project data for delays, risks, productivity issues, and project trends.
  • Develop tools for construction progress tracking and reporting.
  • Apply AI to drawings, BOQs, specifications, site reports, RFIs, and other project documents.
  • Support AI applications for BIM, project scheduling, and construction planning.
  • Develop predictive models for project delays, productivity, and construction risks.
  • Identify AI automation and improvement opportunities with project teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of AI/ML Engineering experience; construction or engineering industry experience is preferred.
  • Strong experience in Python, Machine Learning, and Computer Vision.
  • Knowledge of Generative AI, LLMs, and predictive analytics.
  • Experience with construction project data and technical documents.
  • BIM, Revit, Navisworks, Primavera P6, or similar construction software knowledge is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to work directly with construction project and site teams.

Preferred experience

  • Highly preferred: proven AI applications for construction, including site progress monitoring, safety detection, quality inspection, delay prediction, productivity analysis, or BIM-related AI solutions.

Workplace

  • Full-time, in-person work in Sharjah, UAE.
