The role description identifies the position as a Cashier supporting a Finance Business Partner in a multi-brand showroom and workshop.
The role focuses on revenue collection, accounts receivable, financial controls, and compliance with financial policies.
Responsibilities
- Collect and verify cash, credit card, and cheque payments against invoices, and post collections in SAP.
- Monitor petty cash balances, reimbursement claims, and daily collection and petty cash balancing twice daily.
- Deposit collected revenue and monitor cheque clearance, bounced cheques, and refund cheques.
- Enter data accurately in SAP; minimize billing cancellations and advance payments; follow refund policy and maintain tracking logs.
- Review branch AR reports regularly to support timely collection of outstanding invoices.
- Maintain credit facility records and documents, reconcile credit customer accounts, and record unaccounted credit.
- Maintain IHF deal documents, invoice parts promptly, and ensure documentation supports accurate bank payments.
Qualifications and experience
- Graduate degree in a relevant field.
- 2 to 3 years of experience in an automotive dealership.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and process-oriented task management.
- Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, organization, multitasking, planning, prioritization, and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency in cash management and financial control.
