Key responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting in Zoho and maintain accurate general ledger records.
- Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports, profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash-flow reports.
- Handle accounts payable and receivable; reconcile bank, supplier, and customer accounts.
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes.
- Prepare and submit UAE VAT returns and meet UAE VAT compliance and record-keeping requirements.
- Support UAE Corporate Tax calculations, documentation, filing, tax records, and supporting schedules.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis; monitor expenses, revenue, and cash flow.
- Liaise with auditors, tax advisers, and external consultants as needed.
- Ensure accounting processes meet UAE regulatory requirements and provide management with financial information and ad-hoc reporting.
Candidate requirements
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Previous accounting experience in the UAE.
- Strong Zoho experience is essential.
- Practical experience preparing and filing UAE VAT returns.
- Strong knowledge of UAE Corporate Tax and UAE accounting and compliance requirements.
- Experience with management accounts and financial reporting; strong Excel skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy; strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet reporting deadlines; good written and verbal communication skills.
- Real estate or hospitality experience is preferred but not essential.
Salary
- Salary budget is AED 7,000 per month, plus medical and visa.
