Role overview
Oversees warehouse order management and cold and ambient storage operations, focusing on timely fulfilment, inventory integrity, and efficient resource use.
Warehouse operations and planning
- Implement order-management policies and ensure efficient picking, loading, receiving, issuance, and dispatch within agreed cut-off times.
- Manage cold and ambient warehouse capacity and processes to maximise resource utilisation.
- Plan weekly stock, inbound, and outbound operations and arrange resources in advance.
- Maintain stock levels and follow up on deliveries and the MRP process.
Inventory, budget, and performance
- Maintain accurate warehouse inventory records and control systems, including routine book-to-physical stock accuracy.
- Contribute to the annual area expense budget and manage expenses day to day.
- Establish and routinely follow up on KPIs with clear responsibilities, authorities, and metrics.
Quality, people, and compliance
- Implement quality assurance policies throughout warehouse processes.
- Provide minimum working conditions and train the operations team on company policies and procedures.
- Implement health, safety, and environmental programmes for cold and ambient store operations.
- Develop and manage operational policies and procedures to use resources effectively and minimise risk.
- Coordinate with Procurement, Maintenance, and other departments.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a relevant qualification.
Compliance requirements
- Comply with HACCP and food safety requirements, Health, Safety and Environment requirements, 5S, Good Manufacturing Practice, Food Defense, and applicable procedures.
- Comply with environmental requirements and BRF sustainability policy and plan.
