Warehouse and Logistics Manager

Role purpose

Cost and warehouse operations

• Own and reduce storage cost per pallet across company sites and 3PLs; track monthly costs by site and identify drivers such as rent, labour, rates, handling, and unused space.
• Improve space use, clear slow-moving and expired inventory, and avoid unnecessary pallet positions.
• Renegotiate 3PL contracts and rates, check invoice lines, and challenge improper charges.
• Use cost data to decide when to use a 3PL or operate a warehouse directly.
• Manage receiving, storage, expiry management, and kitchen supply while maintaining food-safety and cold-chain standards.

Inventory, systems, and freight

• Improve inventory tracking using technology and AI, potentially including barcode scanning, RFID, real-time visibility, and early alerts for stock gaps and expiry risks.
• Use cycle counts and root-cause analysis to make system stock match physical stock at every site.
• Work with AI and automation teams to replace manual sheets and plan warehouse automation as volumes grow.
• Manage sea and air shipments, truck movements between GCC markets, and customs clearance; control freight costs and lead times.
• Standardize SOPs and KPIs across assigned markets and plan storage capacity ahead of growth.

Team leadership and collaboration

• Manage warehouse, inventory, and cross-border logistics teams across assigned markets, including remote KPI reviews, clear targets, and follow-up.
• Coach market leads, develop successors, and visit sites, teams, and 3PL partners within the GCC about five times yearly.
• Work with Procurement, Kitchen Operations, Quality, and Finance; keep Supply Chain leadership informed about performance and risks.

Experience and qualifications

• At least 7 years in warehousing and logistics, with at least 4 years leading warehouse operations.
• Food, cold-chain, or FMCG experience preferred.
• Experience managing 3PL warehouses, contracts, rate negotiations, invoice checks, and performance reviews.
• A record of reducing warehouse or storage costs and improving inventory accuracy using technology such as WMS or barcode scanning.
• Daily use of AI tools and practical ideas for warehouse applications; experience managing teams across sites or countries, including remotely.
• Knowledge of cold chain, food safety (HACCP or ISO), and FEFO.
• Experience with imports, customs clearance, and sea, air, and land freight in the GCC; willing to travel within the GCC about five times yearly.
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, engineering, or a related field; Lean or Six Sigma is a plus.
