The banquet waiter or waitress delivers dining and service experiences at banquets, private functions, and special events.

Responsibilities
- Provide personalised food and beverage service during events and respond to guest needs, including dietary preferences and special requirements.
- Set up banquet venues, table settings, service stations, and equipment; clear and reset venues after events.
- Serve food and beverages according to service standards, menus, and event requirements.
- Coordinate with banquet supervisors and kitchen, bar, and service teams to support smooth, timely event operations.
- Maintain presentation, cleanliness, and organisation; replenish service stations and manage equipment.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and responsible beverage service regulations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a luxury hotel, high-end restaurant, or premium events environment, with a strong understanding of refined food and beverage service and guest expectations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to anticipate guest needs and provide attentive, discreet, personalised service.
- Knowledge of banquet operations, food and beverage service standards, table settings, event coordination, and hygiene practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to different event formats and guest requirements.
- A relevant Hospitality Management qualification or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
