Leads a team of cybersecurity engineers responsible for security solutions across critical infrastructure and applications.
Combines strategic leadership with deep technical cybersecurity expertise to protect company assets and client data.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage cybersecurity engineers; foster innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Develop and execute cybersecurity engineering strategy aligned with business objectives and risk appetite.
- Oversee design, architecture, and implementation of security controls and platforms, including SIEM, EDR, DLP, IAM, vulnerability management, and cloud security.
- Drive secure development lifecycle practices and integrate security across engineering, development, operations, and IT.
- Conduct security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability scans; oversee remediation.
- Monitor emerging threats and industry practices; maintain security architecture and procedure documentation.
- Provide leadership during incident response, manage security vendors, and evaluate products and services.
- Present security strategies, roadmaps, and incident summaries to senior leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; a master's degree is preferred.
- 10+ years of cybersecurity experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership or management role.
- Experience designing, implementing, and managing enterprise-level security solutions.
- Knowledge of NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, cloud security, AWS, Azure, GCP, networking, Windows, Linux, and application security.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell for automation.
- CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or SANS GIAC certifications are highly desirable.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and technical team leadership skills.
- Financial services industry experience is a plus.
