Van Salesman role serving assigned route customers and handling product sales and delivery.
Sales and customer service
- Plan routes for workshops, garages, fleet, and trade customers; promote products and generate route sales.
- Identify new customers, refer larger opportunities, build customer relationships, and report market demand and competitor activity.
- Confirm deliveries, communicate delays, resolve routine discrepancies, handle returns, and escalate complaints.
Delivery and controls
- Load and deliver products against approved documents; obtain acknowledgements and submit collections and paperwork on time.
- Maintain van stock, sales and delivery reports, returns, and replenishment records; safeguard cash, stock, documents, and customer information.
- Coordinate with sales and warehouse teams; check vehicle condition and comply with traffic, driving, health, and safety policies.
- Follow FIFO stock handling and report shortages, damage, accidents, or discrepancies.
Candidate requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid UAE driving licence for the assigned vehicle and a clean or acceptable driving record.
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts, lubricants, and batteries; 2+ years of UAE delivery or van sales experience.
- Ability to handle delivery paperwork, sales transactions, and cash/COD controls; good communication and basic selling and negotiation skills.
- Familiarity with UAE routes and relevant customer areas; able to handle products safely within lifting limits.
- Experience in automotive parts, lubricants, batteries, FMCG, or comparable route sales is preferred.
Compensation
- Pay is AED 4,000–5,000 per month.
Workplace
- The role involves assigned customer routes and in-person deliveries.
