Role overview

Responsibilities

• Inspect tyres for wear, damage, punctures, cracks, and safety issues; fit and remove tyres on fleet vehicles.
• Repair tyres where safe, rotate and replace tyres, and maintain correct tyre pressure.
• Inspect rims, valves, and related components; perform balancing and wheel-related maintenance when required.
• Monitor tyre condition, report unsafe tyres, and record repairs, replacements, and usage.
• Use heavy-duty equipment safely; maintain tools, machines, and work areas; follow safety procedures and use PPE.
• Support the workshop team with other tyre-related maintenance duties.

Experience and requirements

• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant Tyreman, Tyre Technician, or similar experience.
• Knowledge of tyre fitting, removal, repair, rotation, maintenance, tyre sizes, pressure, tread wear, and condition.
• Experience using tyre-changing machines and workshop tools; ability to identify tyre and wheel problems.
• Ability to work safely with heavy-duty tyres and equipment, perform manual work, meet schedules, and work under pressure.
• Good teamwork and communication skills; UAE/GCC workshop experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent is preferred.
• ITI, vocational training, or certification in Tyre Service, Automotive Maintenance, or a related field is advantageous.
• Relevant practical experience may be considered instead of formal qualifications.

Preferred experience and skills

• Heavy-vehicle, truck, bus, trailer, or fleet experience is preferred.
• Basic wheel-balancing knowledge is advantageous.
• Preferred skills include heavy-duty tyre fitting, puncture repair, tyre inspection, wheel and rim inspection, rotation and balancing, equipment operation, preventive maintenance, attention to detail, and safety awareness.

Compensation

• Pay is AED 2,000–2,500 per month.
