Traffic Engineer Manager

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Lead traffic engineering and transportation studies for development projects; review Traffic Impact Studies and related assessments.
• Coordinate with Dubai RTA and other relevant authorities on traffic and transportation matters.
• Review circulation, access, junction capacity, road networks, and traffic-management requirements.
• Assess traffic impacts for residential, commercial, mixed-use, and large-scale developments.
• Oversee traffic modelling, traffic analysis, capacity assessments, and Level of Service analysis.
• Review road-safety requirements and identify traffic safety risks.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, project teams, and government authorities.
• Provide technical guidance on traffic engineering and transportation design; review traffic-management proposals, layouts, access, and junction improvements.
• Ensure compliance with Dubai regulations, RTA requirements, and project standards; review reports, submissions, design documents, and consultant deliverables.
• Monitor authority comments and support timely resolution of traffic-related technical issues.
• Provide technical leadership to traffic and transportation engineering teams.
• Support project planning, feasibility studies, and development-related transportation assessments.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Master's degree in Traffic Engineering and/or Transportation Engineering.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in traffic engineering and road safety.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience specifically in Dubai.

Technical experience

• Traffic engineering and transportation planning.
• Traffic Impact Studies and traffic/transportation assessments.
• Road-safety engineering.
• Traffic capacity and Level of Service analysis.
