Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Measure and mark surfaces to be tiled, ensuring precise placement and alignment.
• Cut, shape, and set tiles using hand and power tools, ensuring a perfect fit and finish.
• Prepare and apply adhesive materials such as mortar or mastic to secure tiles.
• Level tiles to ensure a consistent surface, using leveling tools and techniques.
• Clean and prepare surfaces, removing old tiles, grout, and adhesives as needed.
• Apply grout between tiles and clean excess grout for a polished finish.
• Seal and polish tiles to protect against moisture and damage.
• Follow blueprints, drawings, and specifications to achieve the desired design and pattern.
• Collaborate with contractors, architects, and other team members on installation projects.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.
• Adhere to safety protocols and building codes to ensure safe and compliant installations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in masonry or a related field is preferred.
• Proven experience as a Tile Mason or similar role, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and technical drawings.
• Proficient in using tile cutting tools, saws, trowels, and other masonry equipment.
• Excellent attention to detail and precision in measurements and cuts.
• Strong hand-eye coordination and physical stamina for lifting heavy materials.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Knowledge of various tile types, installation techniques, and materials.
• Familiarity with safety guidelines and building codes.
