Head of Marketing

Main Job Purpose

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and lead the company's full marketing strategy.
• Build and strengthen brand identity and market positioning.
• Plan and execute seasonal campaigns for camping, outdoor, travel, and adventure products.
• Manage digital marketing, social media, paid advertising, email marketing, and content creation.
• Work closely with sales, retail, e-commerce, and buying teams.
• Analyze customer behavior, market trends, and competitor activity.
• Launch promotions, new products, and in-store campaigns.
• Manage the marketing budget and external agencies or suppliers.
• Improve website traffic, online conversion, and e-commerce sales performance.
• Build partnerships with influencers, outdoor communities, events, and brand ambassadors.
• Ensure all marketing materials are aligned with the brand image and standards.
• Lead, manage, and develop the marketing team.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
• A master's degree is an advantage.

Experience

• 7 to 12+ years of marketing experience.
• 3 to 5+ years in a senior marketing leadership role.
• Experience in retail, e-commerce, lifestyle, sporting goods, camping, or the outdoor industry is preferred.
• Strong background in both brand building and growth marketing.

• Understanding of seasonal buying patterns in the sector.
• Experience with influencer marketing and community-led brand growth.
• Understanding of both retail marketing and e-commerce marketing.
