About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Testing & Commissioning Manager to join our construction team and lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and handover of testing and commissioning activities for high-rise building projects.

The successful candidate will ensure that all building systems and services are tested, commissioned, and handed over in compliance with project specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement project-specific testing and commissioning strategies, procedures, and schedules.
  • Lead and manage commissioning activities for all building systems, ensuring successful project delivery.
  • Coordinate with project managers, consultants, subcontractors, and site teams to ensure smooth execution of commissioning works.
  • Review project drawings, specifications, and commissioning requirements to identify potential issues and risks.
  • Monitor progress against commissioning schedules and take corrective actions where necessary.
  • Ensure all systems are tested and commissioned in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.
  • Manage inspections, functional performance testing, integrated system testing, and final acceptance processes.
  • Review and approve testing reports, commissioning documentation, method statements, and handover packages.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, quality, and environmental standards throughout all commissioning activities.
  • Attend project meetings and provide regular updates on commissioning progress and challenges.
  • Support project closeout activities, snag rectification, and final client handover.
  • Mentor and supervise commissioning engineers and site teams.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (B.E./B.Tech) – Mandatory.

Experience

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in the construction industry.
  • Proven experience working on high-rise building projects.
  • Extensive experience in testing, commissioning, project execution, and building handover processes.
  • Experience coordinating with consultants, contractors, and client representatives.

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of testing and commissioning methodologies for construction projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • Ability to review technical drawings, specifications, and construction documentation.
  • Strong understanding of quality assurance and quality control processes.
  • Familiarity with relevant international construction standards and regulations.

Soft Skills

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
  • Strong organizational and reporting skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing testing and commissioning activities on large-scale residential, commercial, or mixed-use high-rise developments.
  • Professional certifications related to project management, commissioning, or quality management will be an advantage.
