Job purpose
Laminates and finishes produced items to meet quality standards and production schedules, and updates production tracking information.
Production and finishing
- Finish produced items according to quality standards and procedures.
- Check items for defects and make necessary repairs.
- Check item labels and markings against specifications and client requirements.
- Prepare inspection reports and obtain supervisor approval.
- Submit finished items to the Quality Control inspector according to the schedule.
- Receive glass kits and raw materials, and ensure resins are mixed correctly.
- Laminate items according to production procedures to ensure uniformity.
- Inform the assistant foreman of daily output status.
- Report production problems, mistakes, accidents, and non-conformities to a superior.
Health, safety, and equipment
- Comply with safety, quality, and environmental control procedures and instructions.
- Use personal protective equipment and safety gear for assigned tasks.
- Keep operational areas clean and organized to prevent incidents and accidents.
- Maintain assigned tools, equipment, and machinery in good working order.
- Report unsafe acts, incidents, and safety violations.
Qualifications and experience
- A Technical or High School qualification is required.
- One to two years of relevant experience in a similar environment is preferred.
Communication
Internal communication includes Production Superiors, the Finishing Crew Leader, and the Scheduling Department.
