Projects Director

Job purpose

Project delivery strategy

• Own end-to-end value stream performance from bid margin through final delivery cost.
• Translate awarded contracts into executable, resourced delivery plans across the global portfolio.
• Set global scheduling standards and delivery cadence across the project portfolio.
• Monitor project margin at completion against award and provide early visibility of margin erosion.
• Identify delivery risks and drive mitigation actions across cost, schedule, and client satisfaction.
• Drive continuous improvement in project delivery methodology and tools.

Order-to-Cash and EPC interface

• Own the Order-to-Cash process from contract award through delivery completion.
• Act as the primary interface with EPC contractors and clients on schedule, scope, and technical delivery matters.
• Track milestone achievement and invoicing triggers so cash conversion keeps pace with physical progress.
• Coordinate with Finance on billing, collections milestones, and working-capital risks.

Change control and claims

• Establish and govern change-control processes across all active projects.
• Own claims management strategy, including identification, documentation, negotiation, and commercial recovery.
• Drive variation and claims governance to protect project margin from scope creep and unresolved exposure.

Scheduling and delivery cadence

• Own the global project schedule and portfolio-level delivery prioritization.
• Facilitate weekly delivery control and monthly S&OP cadence across demand, capacity, supply, and delivery priorities.
• Maintain live action logs and drive decisions through the delivery cadence.
• Escalate and resolve cross-country and cross-function delivery conflicts.

Field Services

• Oversee the Field Services function and integrate field activities into the overall delivery plan.
• Ensure field service performance supports on-time project completion and client satisfaction.

Stakeholder relationships

• Interface with Country Operations GMs on delivery execution and country P&L discipline.
• Coordinate with the Engineering and Industrialisation Director on bid-to-delivery technical transfer.
• Coordinate with the Supply Chain Director on material and logistics dependencies affecting delivery schedules.

Requirements

• Ability to lead end-to-end project delivery from contract award through final completion across a global portfolio.
• Ability to protect project margin and manage delivery performance across cost, schedule, quality, and client outcomes.
• Experience coordinating EPC contractors, clients, Finance, Engineering, Supply Chain, Field Services, and country operations stakeholders.
• Experience governing change control, variations, and claims management across active projects.
• Ability to manage global scheduling, delivery prioritization, and cross-country delivery conflicts.
