Support the Production Control Coordinator in planning, scheduling, and monitoring production processes.
Help production processes run efficiently and meet schedules while maintaining accurate records and reports.
Production control duties
- Assist in creating production schedules and ensure processes are running efficiently to meet schedules.
- Collect and analyze production data to identify trends and deviations and recommend process improvements.
- Assist in annual inventory counts to identify warehouse variances.
- Maintain records and reports on production schedules, inventory levels, and production data.
- Follow operational procedures and report production problems, mistakes, or non-conformities to a supervisor.
Health, safety, and environment
- Follow relevant safety, quality, and environmental procedures and instructions; use personal protective equipment when performing assigned tasks.
- Keep operational areas clean and organized and maintain assigned tools, equipment, and machinery in good working order.
- Report unsafe acts, incidents, or safety violations.
Qualifications and experience
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; additional technical or vocational training is preferred.
- One to three years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or a related field is preferred.
Communication
Communicate internally with the Production Supervisor, Quality Control, and Planning departments.
