The audio visual technician supports banquet and meeting events by setting up, operating, and troubleshooting AV equipment and systems.
The role is listed as full time, non-management, and not remote.
Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot AV, projection, lighting, and conferencing equipment.
- Oversee banquet and meeting room equipment setup and check rooms against Banquet Event Orders.
- Keep equipment operational; repair or clean it as needed and report problems or broken equipment.
- Tape down and dress loose cables, and communicate changes to event flowsheets.
- Assist guests with equipment, promote AV services, and monitor equipment during use.
- Break down, remove, and secure equipment when not in use.
- Follow Marriott Visual Productions SOPs and company safety, security, quality, and service standards.
- Maintain professional appearance, protect confidential information and company assets, inspect equipment, and support the team.
Preferred qualifications and physical requirements
- Preferred: high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Preferred: at least 1 year of related work experience.
- Able to lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- No supervisory experience or license/certification is specified.
