Full-time, non-management Audio Visual Technician role in the Event Management category.
The position is not remote and is based at the hotel in Doha, Qatar.
Position responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot AV, projection, lighting, and conferencing equipment and systems.
- Oversee AV setup in banquet and meeting rooms; keep equipment operational, repairing or cleaning it when needed.
- Label broken equipment, report problems, secure loose wires and cables, and inspect delivered equipment and room setup against the Banquet Event Order.
- Communicate event flowsheet changes to a manager or supervisor.
- Assist and instruct guests on equipment use, promote AV services, and monitor equipment operation.
- Break down, remove, and secure equipment when not in use; follow the Marriott Visual Productions SOP.
- Follow safety, security, confidentiality, and quality standards; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions.
- Welcome guests, address service needs, communicate professionally, collaborate with colleagues, and perform other reasonable duties requested by supervisors.
Preferred qualifications and role needs
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- At least one year of related work experience is preferred.
- The role requires handling objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance and visually inspecting tools, equipment, or machines.
- No supervisory experience or license or certification is specified as required.
