Kitchen preparation and service
- Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, washing, peeling, weighing, measuring, and mixing.
- Prepare and cook food to recipes, quality and presentation standards, and preparation checklists; prepare cold foods.
- Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers; test food for doneness and monitor food quality.
- Check temperatures of appliances and food; set up and break down the workstation.
- Serve correct portions using appropriate receptacles.
- Wash and disinfect kitchen areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment.
Safety and teamwork
- Follow company, safety, and security procedures; complete safety training and report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions.
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance; protect confidential information and company assets; communicate professionally.
- Build positive working relationships and support team goals; perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.
Qualifications and physical demands
- At least one year of related work experience.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred; no supervisory experience or license or certification is specified.
- Work involves standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods or an entire shift, and bending, twisting, reaching, and stooping.
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
