Full-time, non-management Audio Visual Technician role in Doha, Qatar, supporting event management.
AV and event support
- Set up, operate, troubleshoot, repair, and clean AV, projection, lighting, and conferencing equipment.
- Oversee equipment setup in banquet and meeting rooms; check deliveries and room setup against Banquet Event Orders.
- Secure loose cables, label broken equipment, and report issues or flowsheet changes to a manager or supervisor.
- Assist guests with equipment operation, monitor equipment during events, and promote additional AV services.
- Break down, remove, and secure equipment when not in use; follow the Marriott Visual Productions SOP book.
Service, safety, and team standards
- Follow company safety, security, confidentiality, asset-protection, and quality standards; report accidents and unsafe conditions.
- Welcome guests, address their service needs, communicate professionally, and support team goals.
- Inspect tools, equipment, or machines and perform other reasonable duties requested by supervisors.
- Handle and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
Preferred qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- At least 1 year of related work experience preferred.
- No supervisory experience or license/certification is specified as a requirement.
