Set up, operate, and troubleshoot AV, projection, lighting, and conferencing equipment for events.
The role supports banquet and meeting room events at the Doha property.
Responsibilities
- Set up AV equipment in banquet and meeting rooms and ensure equipment is operating properly.
- Repair or clean equipment as needed; label broken equipment and notify a manager or supervisor.
- Tape down and dress loose wires and cables.
- Check delivered equipment and room setup against the Banquet Event Order and communicate flow-sheet changes.
- Assist guests with AV equipment use, upsell AV services, and monitor equipment during events.
- Break down, remove, and secure equipment when not in use.
- Read and follow the Marriott Visual Productions SOP.
- Follow safety, security, quality, confidentiality, and guest-service standards; inspect equipment and report unsafe conditions.
Physical requirement
- Handle objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance, including lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing.
Preferred qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- At least one year of related work experience preferred.
- No supervisory experience is listed; no license or certification is listed.
