Technical Specialist – SAP Service & Asset Manager (SSAM)

Pay and contract

• Pay rate is CAD 78.70 per hour, depending on experience.
• Contract end date is November 27, 2027.
• The stated primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; INC classification applicants may also be considered where applicable.

Role overview

Implementation and support

• Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade SSAM across iOS and Windows platforms.
• Integrate with SAP ERP and S/4HANA using SAP Mobile Services and Business Technology Platform.
• Configure technician and inventory personas and role-based access.
• Provide Level 2/3 support for OData, backend connectivity, and synchronization; perform root cause analysis and resolve performance issues.
• Maintain security roles and enterprise compliance.

Development and collaboration

• Develop enhancements with MDK, SAPUI5, and Fiori elements; implement custom workflows, dynamic forms, and branding.
• Integrate SSAM with Plant Maintenance, Materials Management, HR, and Finance modules.
• Collaborate with functional teams, business analysts, and vendors on design and deployment.
• Prepare technical documentation and guides, and train end users and junior technical staff.

Experience and education

• Requires at least 5 years of SAP technical experience, including at least 2 years focused on SAP EAM and SSAM.
• Requires a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Relevant SAP certifications are preferred.

Technical qualifications

• Requires strong SSAM architecture knowledge and proficiency in ABAP, SAPUI5, OData services, and SAP Mobile Services.
• Requires experience integrating SAP S/4HANA and hands-on experience with SAP iOS SDK, MDK, and mobile app deployment.
• Requires knowledge of ESRI integration and geospatial data handling; familiarity with offline synchronization and persona-based mobile workflows is requested.
• Agile, GitHub Actions/CI/CD, and mobile test automation experience are preferred.
