Role overview

Pay and contract

• Pay rate is CAD 90.00 per hour, depending on experience.
• Contract dates are November 23, 2026, through March 31, 2027, approximately four months.
• T4 classification is the primary pay basis; INC classification may also be considered where applicable.

Location and work arrangement

• The posting states Calgary, Alberta and remote, with Alberta-based candidates preferred but candidates anywhere in Canada considered.

Responsibilities

• Define scope, deliverables, and measurable success metrics; manage change control and prevent scope creep.
• Conduct early discovery to identify dependencies, bottlenecks, and risks; align delivery with enterprise governance, compliance, quality, and strategy.
• Build critical-path schedules using Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid methods; track finances, burn rates, resource allocation, and vendor billing.
• Provide transparent status reporting and candid risk, timeline, and project-health updates.
• Guide cross-functional technical teams and vendors; manage statements of work, deliverables, and acceptance criteria.
• Maintain project charters, risk logs, dependency maps, status decks, and handover documents.

Experience and education

• At least 6 years managing complex IT/software projects, including business process transformation and organizational change management.
• At least 3 years managing cross-functional teams and external vendors on large enterprise initiatives.
• Demonstrated leadership of Salesforce implementations/customizations and software development projects in a mid-to-large enterprise.
• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Business Administration, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent education and direct industry experience.

Delivery expertise and tools

• Deep SDLC knowledge and proficiency in Agile (Scrum/Kanban), Waterfall, and Hybrid delivery methods.
• Hands-on scope baselining, burn-rate tracking, variance analysis, and resource scheduling.
• Expert proficiency with Jira, Confluence, MS Project, Azure DevOps, SmartSheet, or equivalent tools.
• Financial services or banking experience is a strong asset.

Certifications and leadership

• PMP and PMI-ACP or CSM/PSM certifications are listed as required or highly preferred hiring criteria.
• Salesforce, Prosci/organizational change management, and SAFe certifications are assets or strong pluses.
• The role calls for strong relationship management, communication, executive-level technical translation, and outcome-focused delivery.
