Technical Product Owner - Airline Engineer, MRO & Digital Aircraft.

Role purpose

Role responsibilities

• Own feature, function, non-functional, BAU, technical debt, spike, and ceremony backlogs.
• Define story content and acceptance criteria, sign off completed stories, and keep work refined and prioritized for future PIs.
• Capture and prioritize technical debt and non-functional requirements across sprints.
• Include BAU, ceremony, and spike activities in backlogs within available capacity.
• Prepare PI demo contributions with other Product Owners.
• Maintain feature quality and integrity and raise risks and dependencies to the Product Portfolio backlog.
• Contribute to Product Management meetings, including PI Planning.
• Define success and performance metrics for prioritized work and propose further BAU iterations within capacity.
• Grow the Product Owner community, improve practices, and surface team-driven innovation to the TPM community.

Qualifications and experience

• Degree or honours (12+3 or equivalent).
• 5+ years of experience in IT or another relevant area.
• Relevant grounding in Operations Research, Marketing Science, Information Systems, e-Commerce, or a combination of industry certification and relevant experience.
• Global Product (CSPO/SAFe/PSPO) trained and certified.
• At least 2 years of practical experience as a team-facing Product Owner or Product Manager, with a record of driving change and delivery at pace.
• Scaled Agile experience across multiple initiatives and approximately 50+ teams is not essential.
• Demonstrated technical or domain expertise and awareness of relevant regulatory and technical changes.
• Strong concise communication, relationship-building, and customer-centric value identification.

Knowledge and skills

• Well-versed in tools used for Product Management aspects of software delivery.
• Communicates effectively with peers, line managers, stakeholders, and team members.
• Builds strong working relationships and identifies customer-centric value.
