Technical Manager

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Support technical strategy and operational goals for product development, quality, cost, and delivery.
• Identify and resolve technical design and construction problems.
• Maintain a safe working environment and apply company health and safety policy.
• Manage the project-site technical team, setting direction, tasks, and work plans.
• Maintain relationships with stakeholders and technical team members.
• Improve team performance and efficiency.
• Ensure quality deliverables while managing staff budgets.
• Contribute to strategic project decisions.
• Oversee technical investigation, design, optimization, documentation, and drawings, and liaise with statutory authorities.

Experience and qualifications

• At least 8 years of work experience, including 5 years in a relevant supervisory position.
• GCC experience is a plus.
• Practical experience preparing detailed method statements.
• Advanced knowledge of engineering principles, techniques, policies, and procedures.
• Knowledge of material engineering properties and material availability.
• Technical ability to organize and oversee technical drawings.
• Knowledge of project management; ERP knowledge is required, with SAP functional skills preferred.
• Education is listed as a high school diploma and a professional degree in a related technical certificate area.
