Procurement Officer

Role purpose

Responsibilities

• Source, negotiate, and place purchase orders with approved suppliers.
• Manage lead times for make-to-order projects with planning and production.
• Maintain the Approved Supplier List, including evaluation, approval, performance monitoring, and re-evaluation.
• Coordinate supplier non-conformances, corrective actions, and audits with Quality.
• Check and retain material certificates to ensure full traceability.
• Flow customer and AS9100 requirements down to purchase orders, including specifications, special processes, inspection, and records.
• Coordinate customs clearance, shipping, Incoterms, and import documents with Eight Wings (4PL).
• Maintain complete ERP purchasing records; prepare cost reports, track spend, and lead savings initiatives.
• Identify supply risks and develop backup plans.
• Support audits and escalate issues that could affect delivery, cost, quality, or compliance.

Qualifications and experience

• Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• At least six years of procurement experience in aerospace, MRO, or precision engineering, including technical and metal materials purchasing.
• Knowledge of AS9100 clause 8.4, Incoterms, and basic UAE import and customs procedures.
• Strong negotiation skills, ERP skills, and Microsoft Office knowledge.
• Fluent written and spoken English, with good communication and record-keeping skills.

Preferred qualifications

• CIPS qualification is an advantage.
• Knowledge of AMS or ASTM aerospace material standards is an advantage.
• Export-control awareness is an advantage.

Pay

• Pay is AED 2,300 to AED 10,000 per month.
