Procurement Officer role with a construction company in the UAE.
The role requires at least five years of UAE construction procurement experience and knowledge of local materials, suppliers, and market prices.
Responsibilities
- Source and purchase construction materials, tools, equipment, and project supplies.
- Request and compare quotations to secure competitive prices and favorable payment terms.
- Negotiate with local suppliers while maintaining quality.
- Prepare purchase orders and follow up on deliveries to construction sites.
- Coordinate material needs with project managers, site engineers, and warehouse staff.
- Monitor supplier performance, quality, delivery schedules, and pending orders.
- Maintain records of quotations, purchase orders, delivery notes, and invoices.
- Track construction material prices and identify cost savings.
- Ensure purchases comply with policies, budgets, and project specifications.
Requirements
- At least five years of UAE procurement experience in the construction industry is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials and UAE suppliers.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and procurement or ERP systems.
- Ability to manage multiple orders under pressure and meet project deadlines.
Preferred qualifications
- A diploma or bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- A valid UAE driving license is an advantage.
Pay
- Pay is AED 500 to AED 1,000 per month.

- Work location is in person.
