Role overview

Technical leadership

• Lead technical design and architecture for complex features and systems.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and implementation plans.
• Conduct code reviews and provide technical oversight throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Drive resolution of technical debt, performance bottlenecks, and architectural improvements.
• Establish best practices for code quality, testing, deployment, and engineering excellence.

Hands-on development

• Develop application features using .NET, C#, and modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Build and optimize RESTful APIs and microservices for distributed systems.
• Develop database solutions using stored procedures, query optimization, indexing, and data access patterns.
• Create responsive interfaces using AngularJS, Angular, and React.
• Write unit tests, implement test automation, debug production issues, and deliver root-cause solutions.

Mentorship and collaboration

• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and technical guidance.
• Help team members clarify requirements, solve complex problems, and develop technical skills.
• Collaborate with architects, product managers, technical leads, and cross-functional teams.
• Coordinate stakeholders to support successful project delivery and knowledge sharing.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 9 years of professional software development experience with increasing responsibility.
• Demonstrated technical leadership or lead developer experience.
• Expert .NET and C# skills, strong experience with AngularJS, Angular, and React, and advanced SQL Server expertise.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices, distributed systems, Kafka or RedPanda, design patterns, and enterprise architecture.
• Proficiency with unit testing, test-driven development, Git or Azure DevOps, CI/CD, and modern web technologies.

Preferred skills and technologies

• AWS cloud services and architecture, Microsoft Fabric, Azure data platforms, and Power BI.
• Elasticsearch, Playwright, Redis, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, CloudFormation, Entity Framework, and Dapper.
• Performance profiling, monitoring, observability, healthcare domain knowledge, and HIPAA or regulated-industry experience.
