Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Sushi Chef based at Waldorf Astoria Doha West Bay in Doha, Qatar.
The Sushi Chef will prepare and present sushi dishes with precision and creativity, ensuring an exceptional dining experience.
Responsibilities
include maintaining a high standard of food preparation and hygiene, sourcing and handling seafood, and collaborating with the culinary team to develop unique menu items.
Ensuring fresh ingredients and adhering to health and safety regulations will be a crucial part of this role.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Food Preparation, with a focus on high-quality sushi and other Japanese cuisine
- In-depth knowledge of Hygiene standards and adherence to food safety regulations
- Strong Cooking and Culinary Skills, including the ability to create unique dishes
- Expertise in Seafood handling and preparation techniques
- Passion for creating visually appealing and delicious sushi
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Formal culinary training or certification is preferred
- Experience in luxury or fine dining establishments is a plus
