Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare sushi, sashimi, nigiri, maki rolls, and other Japanese dishes.
• Ensure freshness and quality of fish, seafood, rice, and ingredients.
• Prepare and cut fish, vegetables, and other ingredients properly.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen and work area.
• Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
• Monitor stock levels and inform management about shortages.
• Store ingredients properly according to safety standards.
• Assist in menu preparation and presentation.
• Ensure consistency in taste, portion, and presentation.
• Work closely with kitchen staff and management.

Requirements

• Experience as a Sushi Maker or Sushi Chef is preferred.
• Knowledge of Japanese cuisine and sushi preparation techniques.
• Ability to handle kitchen tools and equipment safely.
• Good knife skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Team player with good communication skills.
