Supply Chain Manager - Fitness & Sports Equipment

Role purpose
Lead the end-to-end supply chain for BeFit's fitness and sports equipment business, from demand planning and international sourcing through warehousing, delivery, and installation.
Ensure product availability at the right cost and time for retail, commercial, and home fitness customers while controlling inventory, logistics costs, and service levels.
Planning and procurement
- Lead demand and supply planning for equipment, accessories, and spare parts with Retail, Commercial, and Home Fitness sales teams.
- Set stock levels, reorder points, and safety stock; manage aged and obsolete stock and propose clearance or returns.
- Ensure stock accuracy through cycle counts, reconciliations, and variance investigations.
- Manage international supplier relationships, orders, lead times, and production follow-up.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, incoterms, and freight costs; monitor supplier delivery, quality, and warranty claims.
Imports and warehouse operations
- Plan FCL, LCL, and air freight shipments and coordinate forwarders and clearing agents on customs, duties, documents, and product registrations.
- Track landed costs and identify freight and clearance savings.
- Oversee warehouse receiving, storage, picking, packing, transfers, and dispatch; ensure safe handling and health and safety compliance.
- Optimise warehouse layout, space utilisation, and applicable third-party logistics arrangements.
Delivery, systems, and leadership
- Plan delivery and installation schedules for home, retail, and commercial projects, including gyms, hotels, residential towers, and corporate facilities.
- Coordinate technicians and installation teams on site readiness, assembly, and handover; ensure agreed delivery SLAs and spare-parts availability for service and warranty work.
- Control transport costs through route planning and fleet or logistics partner management.
- Manage processes in ERP/WMS systems and maintain accurate data; report stock, availability, inventory-turn, delivery, lead-time, and logistics-cost KPIs.
- Prepare monthly reports and improvement plans; develop supply chain SOPs and policies.
- Lead, train, and develop supply chain, warehouse, and logistics staff; set targets, conduct reviews, and ensure compliance with standards and safety procedures.
Experience and education
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
- At least 8–10 years in supply chain, procurement, or logistics, including at least 3–5 years in a managerial role.
- Fitness and sports equipment industry experience is required; related consumer durables, electronics, or furniture experience may be considered.
- CIPS, APICS/ASCM CPIM, or CSCP certification is an advantage.
- UAE/GCC experience, including imports and customs clearance, is preferred.
Skills and knowledge
- Strong knowledge of demand planning, inventory control, international procurement, import logistics, and warehouse operations.
- Understanding of delivery and installation of bulky equipment for retail, commercial, and home customers.
- Working knowledge of ERP/WMS systems such as Oracle, SAP, or similar; advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Ability to analyse data, build forecasts, and track KPIs; proven team leadership and cross-functional collaboration.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.
Financial scope and authority
Manage the supply chain operating budget for freight, warehousing, and logistics within approved limits.
Reporting staff include the Operations & Supply Chain Supervisor and warehouse and logistics team.
Approve purchase orders, stock transfers, and logistics arrangements within the company's delegated authority.
