Kitchen Supervisor at The St. Regis Residence, Marsa Arabia Island, Doha.
Full-time, non-management position in Food and Beverage & Culinary.
Kitchen operations
- Supervise and coordinate cooks and the kitchen brigade; set plating and food decoration standards.
- Ensure suitable portions, plating, and garnishes, monitor preparation quantities, and communicate menu changes and special availability to service staff.
- Prepare special dishes or substitute ingredients, assist cooks, and provide needed kitchen supplies.
- Monitor food and supply stocks, maintain kitchen and food-safety logs, and ensure food meets specifications.
- Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, coaching, and motivating employees.
- Respond to guest requests, communicate courteously, and maintain positive working relationships.
- Follow safety, security, quality, confidentiality, appearance, and company-property standards; report hazards, incidents, and maintenance needs.
Recommended qualifications and physical requirements
- Recommended technical, trade, or vocational diploma; no permit or certification specified.
- Recommended 4–6 years of related experience and at least 2 years of supervisory experience.
- Must be able to remain active for extended periods and independently move loads up to 12 kg, including bending, turning, pushing, and pulling.
