Role overview
The Banquet Supervisor oversees daily banquet service operations and helps deliver events that meet DELANO Dubai's luxury service standards.
The role covers banquets, private functions, meetings, and special events.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise event setup, execution, and breakdown according to specifications and service standards.
- Deliver personalized guest service, anticipate needs, respond to requests, and resolve concerns.
- Guide and support colleagues, communicate clearly, and allocate event tasks.
- Coordinate with the Banquet Manager, event planning teams, kitchen, bar, and other departments.
- Monitor food and beverage service, table settings, venue presentation, and event flow.
- Review event orders, function sheets, guest requirements, and service arrangements to prepare the team.
- Oversee banquet equipment, linen, glassware, and supply handling, storage, and replenishment while minimizing waste.
- Ensure food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and workplace safety compliance.
- Support colleague onboarding, coaching, and development.
Qualifications
- Proven banquet operations experience in a luxury hotel, high-end hospitality venue, or premium events environment.
- Previous supervisory or team-leading responsibilities are ideal.
- Strong understanding of banquet operations, event setup, food and beverage standards, function sheets, and event coordination.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Relevant Hospitality Management or Food & Beverage Operations qualification, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
