Role overview
Assistant Restaurant Manager at Blue Door supports the Restaurant Manager and leads day-to-day operations at a relaxed, vibrant dining destination.
The role is highly visible on the floor and focuses on warm, effortless, memorable guest experiences.
Key responsibilities
- Support daily operations and maintain high service standards; lead shifts and oversee the restaurant when the Restaurant Manager is absent.
- Maintain floor presence, service flow, and personalized guest engagement; lead, motivate, and coach team members.
- Brief the team on reservations, VIPs, menu updates, and service priorities; coordinate with Culinary and Bar teams.
- Drive revenue through table optimization and upselling; build relationships with guests and residents; resolve feedback and service issues.
- Support staffing, scheduling, inventory, cost control, food safety, hygiene, and operational standards.
- Support special events, activations, and restaurant experiences.
Qualifications
- Previous supervisory or assistant management experience in a luxury hotel, lifestyle property, or elevated restaurant.
- Strong à la carte experience and floor and service knowledge; confident leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
- Commercial awareness including revenue, average spend, upselling, and cost control; strong food and beverage knowledge.
- Warm, personable guest approach; fluent English. Additional languages are an advantage.
