About DELANO Dubai
DELANO Dubai is bringing the DELANO brand to the UAE under Ennismore, a lifestyle and leisure hospitality company.
The resort is located on Bluewaters Island and is planned to include luxury rooms and suites, culinary and mixology venues, an oceanfront pool, and a wellness studio.
Role overview
The Rooms Controller coordinates room inventory, allocations, and guest arrivals with Front Office, Housekeeping, Reservations, and other teams.
Room control and guest arrivals
- Manage room assignments according to guest preferences, VIP status, special requests, and operational priorities.
- Monitor room availability, status, and inventory; review arrivals and departures for priorities, early arrivals, room moves, and special requirements.
- Coordinate room allocations for VIPs, repeat guests, and special occasions; ensure guest preferences are communicated and actioned.
- Work with Housekeeping and Front Office to prioritize room readiness and release rooms efficiently.
Systems and operations
- Maintain accurate room status, allocations, traces, guest profiles, and related information in the PMS.
- Coordinate with Front Office, Housekeeping, Reservations, Guest Experience, and other departments.
- Anticipate room-related challenges, minimize arrival delays, and support high-occupancy operations, room changes, and upgrades.
- Maintain shift handovers and communicate outstanding room priorities.
Qualifications
- Previous Front Office, Rooms Control, or Reservations experience in a luxury or lifestyle hotel.
- Strong understanding of room inventory, allocation, and Front Office operations; experience with a hotel PMS is required.
- Opera experience is an advantage.
- Applicants should be organized, detail-oriented, able to manage competing priorities, and effective at cross-department coordination.
- Strong guest focus, proactive problem-solving, and confidence in a fast-paced, high-occupancy environment are required.
- Fluent English is required; additional languages are an advantage.
