Superintendent Engineer

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Supervise service engineers, technicians, skilled labour, and work crews conducting maintenance, repairs, and technical support.
• Prepare SOPs and lead teams to deliver high-quality client service.
• Improve after-sales processes and customer satisfaction; coordinate with other departments to resolve technical issues.
• Provide technical guidance to customers and stay current on maritime engine technology and decarbonization.
• Travel to client locations to oversee after-sales operations and support clients on-site.
• Coordinate maintenance and service activities across operational teams and project stakeholders.
• Plan and track maintenance projects and daily progress against plan; take mitigating action with planning engineers and project management.
• Promote best practices in the area of responsibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related field.
• At least five years of experience in a similar maritime-industry role.
• Strong technical knowledge of maritime engines and related systems.
• Excellent leadership, team management, problem-solving, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; demonstrated application engineering approach.
