About The Role
We are seeking a
Mid-Level Structural Engineer
with 3
–5 years of experience
to join our dynamic engineering team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the structural design of high-end residential, industrial, and large-scale luxury developments.
This role is primarily design-focused and involves structural analysis, modelling, and the detailed design of complex building systems using international design codes and modern engineering software.
In addition to design expertise, candidates must have
hands-on construction site experience
, with the ability to coordinate site activities, review structural works, resolve technical issues, and ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
Structural Analysis & Design
- Perform structural analysis and design for
- reinforced concrete and steel
- structures
- Timber design knowledge is considered an advantage
- Design of structural components including:
- Beams, columns
- Core and shear walls
- One-way and two-way slab systems
- Design of special structures such as:
- Lagoons
- Swimming pools
Foundation & Substructure Design
- Design of:
- Isolated and combined footings
- Pile caps and deep foundation systems
- Retaining walls
- Ensure structural stability and constructibility under various loading conditions
Analysis & Calculations
- Conduct
Finite Element Analysis (Fea)
using
Protastructure (Mandatory)
- Prepare detailed structural design calculations using Prokon.
- Ensure accuracy, compliance, and optimization in all designs.
Software Proficiency (Mandatory)
- ProtaStructure
(Non-Negotiable)
- Revit (non-negotiable)
- ETABS
- SAFE
- Prokon
- **AutoCAD**
• Microsoft Office Suite
- Bluebeam Revu
Codes & Standards
- Strong working knowledge of
British Standards,
including:
o BS 8110
o BS 6399
o BS 5328
Work Style & Availability
- Ability to work
- fully remote
- in a design-only role
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision
- Strong technical documentation and calculation presentation skills
Technical & Design Experience
- **Timber structure design**
Experience
- Exposure to
- industrial buildings
- and large-scale developments
- Optimization-focused design approach for complex structures
Codes & International Exposure
- Familiarity with
American Codes
, including:
o ACI 318
o ACI 224
o ACI 239 (UHPC)
o ASCE 7-16
Software & Digital Skills
- **Revit (Structures)**
- Knowledge of
- BIM workflows
- and coordination
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary, BIM-driven environments
Soft Skills
- Strong written communication skills
- Experience collaborating with international or distributed teams
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines remotely
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in
- Civil or Structural Engineering.
- (Masters in the same field
- is an added advantage.)
- Mid-level experience in
- structural design of buildings. (3-5 years of
- experience).
- Proven ability to work independently
- Strong understanding of international codes and design practices
- Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills
